Private Bridge Repair and Improvement
With repairs and improved stability, a homeowner’s bridge will be able to withstand the forces of flooding water and debris for years to come.
Dayton, Ohio
Montgomery Park is an urban park in a northeast suburb of Cincinnati. The existing bridge was in desperate need of replacement based on the deterioration of the wood. Axcess was contracted to design a wider, higher capacity bridge that would allow maintenance equipment to cross the bridge.
Axcess designed a structure that was able to reuse the existing foundations with state of the art materials. The bridge consisted of weathering steel beams for the structural supports, fiberglass decking that is rated for a 10,000 lb vehicle and an aluminum railing system. This combination of building materials should not require any maintenance for the next 25 years. The onsite work to demolition the existing bridge and install the new bridge was completed in three days.

A solid surface fiberglass deck made this pedestrian bridge a safe and beautiful addition to walking trails in a new Indiana housing development.

There are few things more rewarding than how one seemingly simple idea can change everything.
