Municipal Park Pedestrian Bridge

When the town of Crawford, New York needed a small pedestrian bridge for a park development project, they called on Axcess to design it. The town had three primary requirements for the bridge:

• Limited access. Due to the bridge’s location, large, heavy-lifting equipment could not be used to bring in heavy materials. Lighter materials that could be moved with small equipment were needed.
• Maintenance Free. The town hoped to avoid maintenance over the bridge’s lifespan.
• Color Match. The town wanted to match existing color schemes in the park.

To meet these needs, Axcess designed a fiberglass bridge with an aluminum railing. This combination of materials is very light and highly corrosion-resistant, which minimizes upkeep and maintenance. Both can also be matched to any color. The bridge was installed in a single day and will be functional and beautiful for years to come.
