Jackson’s Grant Pedestrian Boardwalk
A solid surface fiberglass deck made this pedestrian bridge a safe and beautiful addition to walking trails in a new Indiana housing development.
Cincinnati, OH
Clermont County has worked with Axcess to install multiple bridges in their park district so when the need for a bridge arose at Shor Park, Axcess was ready to help. Shor Park has a beautiful walking trail that many people in the surrounding neighborhoods use, however the creek frequently floods and blocks access to a majority of the trail. Within a week, the whole bridge was able to be installed and used by the park visitors and access to the trail is available no matter the conditions of the creek.
Axcess designed a concrete free foundation with the use of helical piles and FRP C-channel that were directly bolted to the weathering steel beams. The project was able to be done by a crew of 5 people and only one mini excavator was needed on site for the whole project. Clermont Park District went on to add approach walls for the walkway giving the whole project a wonderful look in a short time frame.

This project involved repurposing a railroad bridge with FRP decking and custom railing at the end of the bike and hike trail system in the town of Delphi, Indiana.
This bridge spans a creek that frequently floods and would block the community from being able to access most of the walking trails.
Connecting a new walking path in the Jackson Grant development, this composite deck bridge matches the custom style of the homes surrounding it.
With repairs and improved stability, a homeowner’s bridge will be able to withstand the forces of flooding water and debris for years to come.
