As 2021 starts off, so too does a new chapter in my life.  But, before I look forward, I want to pause and reflect briefly on a few of the amazing things that the previous chapter at Composite Advantage provided me.

Together with some of Dayton’s most talented co-workers, Scott Reeve and I started Composite Advantage in 2005 and built it up to a successful North American infrastructure company.  Together with our team we developed twelve first to market products along with several issued patents.  We successfully brought advanced materials solutions to mainstream, large infrastructure projects across North America.

Scott and I sold Composite Advantage in 2018 to Hill & Smith Holdings PLC allowing us to join with Creative Pultrusions, Kenway Composites and E.T. Techtonics.  This group of companies will allow Composite Advantage to accelerate its mission to bring advanced material solutions to infrastructure applications.  I will be forever grateful to Scott Reeve and the team at Composite Advantage for the opportunity to be a part of what we have created over the last 15 years.

I have moved on to utilize my entrepreneurial talents to start a new business venture called Axcess.   Axcess is a design-build bridge contractor that specializes in pedestrian bridges for municipalities, parks, golf courses/public spaces, private owners/land developers, and design firms.  These customers have been underserved; we aim to fix this with straightforward solutions that bring long lasting solutions to these markets.  Axcess will leverage some of the solutions manufactured by Composite Advantage, Creative Pultrusions and E.T. Techtonics in our quest to bring better solutions to this market.

I am very proud of the website we have created and invite you to check it out www.spanthegap.com.  I want to give a big Thank You to Sharpe Creative and Acadia Lead Management for helping us get this site launched.
