Jackson Grant Williams Creek Bridge

Cincinnati, OH

Connecting a new walking path in the Jackson Grant development, this composite deck bridge matches the custom style of the homes surrounding it.

The Jackson Grant community has been working on an expansive walking path for the past several years as it continues to build homes in the development. This bridge was paired with the Elliot’s Creek bridge project to connect walking paths over creeks throughout the Jackson Grant housing development. This Williams Creek bridge is special in that it uses a single FRP panel as its walkway instead of several planks. This allowed for the bridge to be preassembled at the manufacturer’s warehouse and shipped to site ready to be set in place.

The bridge used concrete abutments that were poured and set by Axcess before the whole bridge was set in place. Additionally, Rip Rap was placed under each abutment to prevent erosion. The FRP panels and weathered steel will need no maintenance over the life of the bridge. The bridge was finished with attaching wood curbs and aluminum railing and was able to be completed within a few weeks.
