The City of Springboro wanted to establish a walking trail along Red Lion-Five Points Road. They contracted Axcess to design a pedestrian bridge solution for a portion of the trail and specified these requirements:
To meet these requirements, Axess designed a beam bridge made with weathering steel, a fiberglass deck, and an aluminum railing. It was easy to incorporate the desired grey hue into the design thanks to the wide range of available FRP colors and paintable metal materials used. The finished bridge requires no maintenance and will last for years to come.

This bridge spans a creek that frequently floods and would block the community from being able to access most of the walking trails.
This project involved repurposing a railroad bridge with FRP decking and custom railing at the end of the bike and hike trail system in the town of Delphi, Indiana.
With repairs and improved stability, a homeowner’s bridge will be able to withstand the forces of flooding water and debris for years to come.
