Green Acres: Spanning the Gap from Education to the Forest
There are few things more rewarding than how one seemingly simple idea can change everything.
Mason, OH
Schottenstein Real Estate Group was building an upscale apartment complex in Mason, OH and wanted to include a pedestrian bridge for the complex’s walking trails. The project had these special requirements:
Axcess designed a bridge with weathering steel beams, fiberglass solid surface decking, and aluminum railing. The walking surface is excellent for stroller and wheelchair access and for avoiding tripping hazards. This bridge was installed in two days at a very low cost to the property owner and will further save costs because it is maintenance free for its lifetime.
BRIDGE SPAN: 24 feet
BRIDGE WIDTH: 8.5 feet
BRIDGE WEIGHT: 4,500 lb

Connecting a new walking path in the Jackson Grant development, this composite deck bridge matches the custom style of the homes surrounding it.
The Jackson Grant community has been working on an expansive walking path for the past several years as it continues to build homes in the development.
Montgomery Park is an urban park in a northeast suburb of Cincinnati. The existing bridge was in desperate need of replacement based on the deterioration of the wood.
This bridge spans a creek that frequently floods and would block the community from being able to access most of the walking trails.
