Mason Grand Apartment Complex

Mason, OH

Low cost pedestrian bridge for upscale apartment complex.

Schottenstein Real Estate Group was building an upscale apartment complex in Mason, OH and wanted to include a pedestrian bridge for the complex’s walking trails. The project had these special requirements:

  • Smooth, level walking surface. The builder wanted to minimize the potential tripping hazards for pedestrians walking through the neighborhood.
  • Maintenance Free. To keep long-term costs low, the builder wanted a low- or no-maintenance solution.
  • Cost-effective. The builder wanted to keep the design and installation expense of this project as low as possible.

Axcess designed a bridge with weathering steel beams, fiberglass solid surface decking, and aluminum railing. The walking surface is excellent for stroller and wheelchair access and for avoiding tripping hazards. This bridge was installed in two days at a very low cost to the property owner and will further save costs because it is maintenance free for its lifetime.
