Municipal Park Pedestrian Bridge
Learn how Axcess created a durable, lightweight solution for a pedestrian bridge in a municipal park.
Brecksville, OH
The treated lumber deck on a large box truss bridge in Cuyahoga Valley National Park needed to be replaced. It had been installed fewer than 10 years ago. Axcess worked with the National Park Service to design a maintenance-free fiberglass deck that will last for 50 years or more. Because many fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) colors are available, the Park Service was able to select a color that coordinates with the existing weathered steel trusses.
DECK SIZE: 213 ft by 8 ft
